Make A Difference - Learn How To Become An USATF Official
Calling all members of Arizona USATF - Join us Sunday, Jan. 12, 9:30 am Perry High School - Building C, 1919 E. Queen Creek Rd, Gilbert, AZ to learn how to become an official for all levels of track & field competitions.
We'll explain the various layers of how to come an official for masters, open, collegiate, junior college & youth meets. Most meet directors pay a stipend for officiating. Mary Wimmer of AIA will be explaining how to officiate at high school competitions and will provide the latest high school rule books and tests.
If you are an official, please be sure you've updated your 3-step certification of renewing USATF membership, yearly SafeSport renewal, and making sure your 2-year background check is current.
Bring your laptop to this meeting, so you can locate the forms online. If you have a copy of the 2024 USATF Rule Book, bring that too. It also is available online. All tests and reviews are based on the 2024 USATF Rules.
USATF Certification Chair Alex Schauss will host a Basic Review session after the main meeting for those who want to ask any questions.
