Eligibility:

The JO Competition is open to all Arizona Association athletes, that will not reach their 19th birthday on or before the day of the National JO XC Meet (12/14/19).

USA Track & Field membership and age verification are required.

To represent a club or organization, that group must be a current member in good standing, with USA Track & Field.

Entry Fee:

 

$10 for Youth Athletes.  USATF Membership is required.

 

Entry By:

Online through Athletic.net before Wednesday, November 6th at 5:00 p.m.

Day of Meet registrations will be until 9:00 AM only.

No registrations will be accepted once the first race begins.

Awards:

Junior Olympic individual medals will be awarded to the first 15 place finishers in each event.

Timing:

Hand timing will be used for each event.

Rules:

Current USA Track and Field youth athletic rules will govern.

Conduct:

Coaches, team leaders, and parents are responsible for the conduct of all their athletes.

Failure to maintain proper control and to display good sportsmanship could result in disqualification from the meet.

Regional Info:

All finishers in all age divisions, and the top three teams, both boys and girls, may advance to the Region X J.O. Cross-Country Championships.

The 2019 Regional competition will be held Saturday, November 16 in New Mexico

Entry into the Regional meet will be done online through Athletic.net The entry deadline for the Regional race is Wednesday, November 13.

Need For Waivers:

High-school athletes with a championship meet conflict on the date of the meet must complete the waiver procedure as outlined on the Arizona USATF web site to advance into the Region X J.O. Cross-Country Championship meet.
